About Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park, located in Uttarakhand, India, is the country’s oldest national park (established in 1936 as Hailey National Park). It was renamed after the legendary hunter and conservationist Jim Corbett, who played a key role in creating the park.

The park is also the first to be included in Project Tiger (1973), making it a pioneer in tiger conservation in India. Spread across the Himalayan foothills, Corbett is famous for its dense forests, scenic landscapes, rivers, and rich biodiversity.

The park is home to a wide variety of animals, birds, and reptiles, including:
