Valley of Flowers & Nanda Devi

The Valley of Flowers National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,500–6,700 meters. Famous for its breathtaking alpine meadows, this valley bursts into a riot of colors every monsoon with more than 600 species of wildflowers including the rare Blue Poppy, Cobra Lily, and Brahma Kamal. Alongside it lies the Nanda Devi National Park, dominated by the majestic Nanda Devi Peak (7,816 m). Together, they form the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, one of the most spectacular high-altitude ecosystems in the Himalayas.
